"The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Colombia)

This image represents a short story that reads about a drowned man washing up on a beach. The twist of the story is that either there are little people on the island or just that the drowned man is just huge. See, this story is a fake story so this island isnt real but now they made a movie thats seems similar to this story were a man (Jake Black) washes up on an island were he is huge. Some people may think that this island is the Bermuda island. I personaly do not know about any of this Bermuda islands.
Wow, what kind of funeral would I like to have.?. Hmmm. I don't know how to answer that. Maybe not a big funeral but somewhat like the rest of the funerals, the most common ones. I guess this relates to Latin Americans and death because when some one dies, in a Latin family the whole family is going to that funeral even if they hated the person that had died. It is a very big deal to the Latin Americans when some one dies and I'm not saying that other races dont care just that its a big deal to the Latin Americans.

"First Confession" by Frank O'Connor (Ireland)

This short story was written by Frank, an Irelandish person. Ireland is a strict land about its religion, that is Catholic. In the story it reads that there is one boy who is finally going to his first confession but is scarred of how the Priest would react to his sins. This is normal for young boys in Ireland. See the thing is that the boys' sister was very mean to him, and that was right after she was a little "saint" going into the confession room. Ireland is all about Catholicism and that is what they are known for.
The Church that I go to is an AG (Assemblies of GOD.) It does look like a Church and it is a Christian Pentecostal Church. My Chruch sevices go like this: I get there and before the sevice starts we (the Church) prays. When we start, we start with Worship, from Worship we go to the Tiths and Offerings. After the Offerings we go to the Sermon (Word of GOD.) After the Word we pray once more and its finishe (My Chruch Worship is very diferent than you think, it is not boring.)

This was a story told in a first person view and it was an ugly story. This story came from a “3rd world” country and in war territory. The book took place during a time of war and it was worse for the Jews because of what happened to them. The places that the Germans used as camps were old and unfertile soil and I think they could have been like little deserts. Deserts without the resources needed to survive but some did survive. The Jews did not live in big houses or comfortable ones and they had to work very hard to stay alive and hope that they wouldn’t look older to also stay alive. Their work conditions were horrible and also they were not paid enough.

This is one region of where one of the brutal camps were.

The longest thing that I will remember about the book is that I will never read it again. Ha, and that this whole thing that happened was crazy and I don't understand why someone can hate that much. I will always remember the image when they were liberated. It did change my thinking because I never thought that anything like that would happen. One sad part was when the boys get separated from they moms and the men from they family. The most horrifying part was the gas chambers in the book, imagine "taking a shower."
